Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with musical numbers about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner stated recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans make a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
